JOE MOORE

Joe Moore and The Joe Moore Band perform a wide variety of American rhythm & blues, funk, and jazz, based in Joe’s life-long experience as a powerhouse saxophone player and vocalist.

Joe is available to play solo or lead his band through James Brown, Ray Charles, Maceo Parker, King Curtis, Duke Ellington, and others with authority. Depending upon the occasion, instrumental jazz pieces like "Take the A Train" or "Caravan" may be on tap, or, alternatively, foot-tapping, hip-swaying funk numbers like Maceo Parker's "The Chicken", or James Brown's "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag."

All performances are rooted in Joe’s life of playing alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones, often working and touring with original composers. Joe's powerful saxophone has developed a reputation for intense, high energy performances, stunning technique and musical prowess.
